In vitro diagnostics are tests performed on
samples such as blood or tissues taken from the human body. In vitro diagnosis
can detect diseases or other conditions and can be used to monitor the overall
health of a person for the purpose of healing or treating diseases and
preventing them. In-vitro diagnostics can also be used to detect patients’ likelihood
to benefit from particular treatment or therapy in precision medicine. In-
vitro diagnosis can be used to scan a person's DNA for genomic differences.
